[SEOUL, Myeongdong] Miseong-og (미성옥)

✔ Restaurant:

Miseong-og (미성옥)

Seoul, Myeongdong

This place is located right in the middle of Myeongdong in between buildings. It's really hidden in the alley.

✔ Menu:

So simple. Only two menu.

  • Seolleongtang (regular or large)

  • Steamed Pork (sooyook) - small (1-2 portion) or large (2-3 portion)

I am only getting Seolleongtang regular.

✔ Food:

Last picture is Steamed Pork (sooyook).

✔ How to eat:

1. In the soup, there are noodles inside. I usually eat noodles first.

2. Then, you can enjoy the soup and rice separately or add rice to the soup and eat it together. I usually eat soup and rice separately until soup cools off a bit. Then add rice into the soup.

3. Have kimchi or raddish together.

There are salt and spicy seasoning on the table. You can add as much as you want. I usually add a bit of salt when I add rice to the soup. But it's not necessary because kimchi makes it salty enough.

✔ Overall:

English Menu: No

Waiting level: ●○○

Solo Dining: Tables are for 4 people here. So visiting in busy hours, 11:30-1pm and 5:30-7:30pm, you might not able to dine here. Try avoiding busy hours, then you can eat alone like how I did.

Our Rating: Good

(Good - "visit if you have time", Great - "you should visit", Must - "YOU MUST VISIT")
